Today's stunning Catch of the Day is a Gail Brown of New York women's blazer done in a fabulous gold toned metallic fabric from Housing Works. The content label of this jacket seems to be missing, but it appears the grey and gold fabric is woven of a wool and silk blend Cut in a killer hourglass figure, this jacket could rock the boardroom, or dress up your favorite pair of jeans as shown in the photo.
The weave of the fabric is delightfully visible. It has a wonderful notched collar which stands up beautifully.
Running from the shoulder to the bustline are tiny pleats that could almost be nun's pleats. They heighten the formality of the jacket and give it a personality all it's own.
As the coup de grace, the jacket has fabulous rhinestone buttons, each of which is a jewel in itself.
Swarovski does not part with these buttons lightly, and the price Housing Works is asking for the jacket would barely pay for these lovely buttons!
The size label is missing along with the fabric content label, but the 24" waist in a jacket (which means it's got to fit over other clothes), leads me to lean towards a size 2 - 4. Available for a mere $ 29.00, this jacket is bound to go quickly, so the time to act is now. You know you'll regret this later if you don't get it!
