Catch of the Day: January 16, 2011 Retro Tortoise Cateye Sunglasses

Wholesale-fashion-access had a pair of these that closed 15 minutes after I found them.  I did the obvious thing. I bought them. They have several (as in lots...), so there is no sence in paying 1 penny more than the opening bid price. Found (obviously) on eBay, these retro-60's dead stock sunglasses are actually from the 80's. I have every intention of using them the next time I have driving glasses made. I think they are the cat's frickin' pajamas.  Featuring a classic and time honored cateye design, let's face it ladies, the reason this style has lasted is so long is that it's so complimentary on so many faces.

They also come in black, if that's your fancy, and I had to hold a brief debate with myself about which ones to buy. I frankly could argue for either choice. Which ever you buy, you'll get no criticism from me.

Now all you need is a hat and a nice pair of gloves!

Happy shopping kittens!

  2. I've been delighted to see the return to so many classic frames. For so long, it seemed that frames were just getting smaller and smaller. When I had my readers made in my classic 60's frames this year, in addition to being thrilled with how "mod" they were, i was delighted to have the increase in my field of vision!

I've had women literally chase me down to see where I got those "fabulous" frames. People are shocked to hear I got them on eBay for under $20.00. Never again will I buy new frames. Not only are vintage frames cheaper,
I've been able to find such a fashionable selection!

All this and its environmentally friendly too!

Thanks so much for dropping by. I've long been quite the fan of your blog!
